Whitetail Pedistal
«

Here is a couple of pics of the whitetail I got with my bow the day before the I shot the cougar. It was a great weekend with the exception of wrecking a couple of rigs.
I think it is suppose to be in the top 25 in the state for archery but I scored it myself and I'm not an official scorer. I can come close. Let me know what you think. We mounted it last fall.

Mount looks nice, but the nose looks too black and also looks too dark arounfd the eyes. Its hard to tell from that distance though. Looks good though. I like the mount.

We use almost all McKenzie forms. They seem to have what we need most of the time and the prices are competitive.
I wrote a story about this weekend and sent it into "The Huntin Fool" magazine. Won a bunch of cool stuff. Shot this buck on the first day of my cat hunt and then wrecked my pickup (wheel fell off) on the way home, then shot the cat the next day and on the way home we hit a bridge with the Blazer I borrowed. The story was called "The weekend from Heaven and Hell" . The magazine changed it to "Washington Double".

I used to use almost all McKenzie but have started using other forms as well, I usually use a diferent head on the McKenzie forms . There dang heads are just too narrow for most whitetails I have gotten in.

Nice mount! My friggin' truck is insured... I'd trade a wrecked rig for a buck like that and a cat any year....
...as long as I walked away from it...

Nice mount Chuck. I remember reading your story in "The Huntin Fool". and remember being very envious.
